A cleansing oil for the sensitive, the anxious, those of us who need something different to hold us gently and calm us. Sometimes we need to feel sheltered, secure, nourished. Sometimes we need a product to feel a particular way, smell a certain way and leave us calmer than when we began. Cleansing Oil No2 has none of the noise, the wow, the high notes or the complexity of other products. It is soft, so soft, it is quiet and calming not just in feel but in scent and in its effect on the skin. Made with Jojoba Oil, Borage Oil and Castor Oil to give deep hydration and a caring envelope over the skin. Chamomile, Blue Tansy, Rose and Sandalwood give a scent that only the sensitive and anxious can truly relate too. This oil smells herbal, clean and deep. If stillness was a scent and quietening of the senses could be smelt then this is what we have delivered.
This oil is thicker and softer than our Cleansing Oil original is. Each oil we have included is for its calming effects, whether that be for redness, irritation, dryness, heat, itching or dullness. Each essential oil is chosen for the same. Its scent is herbal from Blue Tansy and Chamomile, rounded with rose and softened with Sandalwood that has been grown in western Australia and harvested and distilled in their southwest distillery.
Cleansing Oils are how we should all cleanse and in my lifetime they have yielded the clearest, healthiest skin in later decades, matched only by the vitamin users and laser clients. Why are they so effective? When using a Cleansing Oil the skin surface is awash with clean fresh oils that effectively lift and dissolve all oily components on the skin but with no chemicals, no detergents, no solvents, no soaps, no abrasives and importantly no dehydration. Keeping the skin hydrated is a commonsense and seemingly simple task and a small change such as shifting to a cleansing oil does make a significant difference over the expanse of a lifetime. Why else would cleansing oil groups have such good outcomes?
Your micro biome too much prefers plant oils over surfactants, soaps or heavily synthetic compounds. Your micro biome are happier and balanced, when your skin is hydrated and clean, helping to provide the correct environment for good diversity and stability to the skin. Much of your micro biome eat the fatty acids that make up plant oils while not being hindered by anti microbial preservatives strongly present in mainstream cleansers.
As with all cleansing oils this oil is applied to the skin and slowly massaged over the surface, using enough oil that there is an easy and generous slip over the surface. It is a good time to feel the contours of your face, get to know every bump and line, think only about the scent and the feel, leaving troublesome thoughts behind so your wonderful body can have a reprieve and remember what it is like to feel restful.
To remove soak a cotton cloth in warm water, squeeze gently of excess water and wipe the oil from the skin. Skin should feel soft, nourished and hydrated afterwards and not oily and uncomfortable. Repeated use gives skin a clear creamy hydrated appearance. Depending on the feel you like, a moisturiser is often optional.
