How We Make The Products We Do

Using skincare should address all concerns you have as well as being healthy and supportive of your biological self while also bringing some level of pleasure and calm.

When we think about a new product we first think of the biological function it must serve. What is it trying to address, change or fix? What mechanisms in the skin are at play when this skin behaviour is evident? What compounds are deficient or excessive at this time? What microbiome species are above or below normal population levels? What will be the best compounds to introduce to the skin to return it to normal? How can we do this in the healthiest most natural way without introducing unknown and unrecognised compounds to the skin cells and microbiome.

Once all these have been established we think about exactly how our products are made. What texture do we want? How will you need to use it? How will this influence how we must then make it? What scent will best place this product for how we would like you to feel while using it? What is the best and healthiest packaging for this product and how does this affect our environment when we potentially are introducing many thousands of this product into the world?

A savant product can take many months of thinking, researching, planning, trialing and making.  Owning and controlling this process from start to finish, I have learnt, is what has made us unique and, daringly…….exceptional.
