Treat Very Dry Skin

Treating very dry skin is not a once off exercise. Very dry skin, fundamentally, is not producing enough of the compounds that surround and bathe the skin cells in a nourishing, protective environment. Treating very dry skin of this nature means you are to supplement the skin compounds that are in low amounts topically and, you likely will need to do this for a long time. While this can seem an annoying extra to your day having skin that feels comfortable, smooth and soft all day is indeed a reward worth achieving.  Dry, dehydrated and persistently uncomfortable  skin is a lot to live with for those that know this territory well.

First things first limit the exposure to foaming cleansers, in my world we call these surfactants.  What little oils your skin has, surfactants will dissolve them. Clean your face and body with an oil. Yes oils make you feel clean still.  Massage over wet or dry skin, even in the shower, use a cloth to wipe away the excess once you have massaged the oil in.  Old oils and dead skin cells will still be removed but you will have deposited a nice, clean, new layer and removed all the debris as well.  Relief starts here.

Next we are going to replace those important hydrating compounds to treat the dryness at the start.  Rectifying for the face and HydraLac for the body. This helps very dry skin grow well. It also helps with red rough patches that very dry skin can have.  HydraLac and Rectifying smooth these out, balance problematic micro biome species and make skin feel stronger.

Then depending if we have dry skin that has separation and redness or eczema’s present you will use either Baby Balm for skin that is very sensitive or Body Cream or Body Oil for the body.  For the face it will be Resplendent.

For face cleansing try Cleansing Oil or Cleansing Oil No2 (sensitive version). For the body try cleansing with Bath & Shower Oil or Body Oil or Body Wash Milk Emulsion.
